Caribbean-Tech: roots as the driving force
R'DAYE has a name for his music: Caribbean-Tech, which he also calls AFROFUTUR. The idea fits in one sentence: take the rhythms of Guadeloupe, gwo ka and zouk first among them, and run them through today's electronic production.
On the dancefloor, Afro percussion carries the groove, the bass holds the club and the production stays tight from the first track to the last. A R'DAYE set runs from two to three and a half hours: enough time to take a crowd on a journey from the Caribbean to the rest of the world.
Creole as a signature
Creole runs through his tracks in touches, as a mark of identity rather than decoration. R'DAYE produces his tracks under his own production name, Kazson Productions, and is part of the Red Island Music roster.
Gwo ka, zouk, afro house, afrotech and techno, with Creole vocals and collaborations, from Codjo Seignon to Gwladys Marthély.
Caribbean roots, a sound looking to tomorrow.

Frequently asked questions about R'DAYE
Who is DJ R'DAYE?
DJ R'DAYE is an electronic music DJ and producer originally from Guadeloupe, who blends gwo ka, zouk and Afro percussion into a style he calls Caribbean-Tech, or AFROFUTUR. His approach starts from his roots: the rhythms of Guadeloupe, the memory they carry and Creole, which surfaces in touches across his tracks. He brings them into current electronic production, somewhere between afro house, afrotech and techno. R'DAYE releases his tracks under his production name, Kazson Productions, and is part of the Red Island Music roster. His releases are on sale on Bandcamp and Beatport. On stage, he has played SXM Festival in Saint Martin, Guadeloupe Electronic Groove and Tiki Island Festival in Martinique, as well as Ministry of Sound in London. His signature fits in four words: “Roots into the future”.
What is R'DAYE's Caribbean-Tech?
Caribbean-Tech is the name DJ R'DAYE gives to his music: club electronics built on the rhythms of Guadeloupe, gwo ka and zouk, and on Afro-diasporic percussion. He also calls it AFROFUTUR. The idea is not to paste a Caribbean sample onto a standard beat. The traditional rhythms become the backbone of the track, and the electronic production gives them the power and precision of the club. Creole appears in touches, as a mark of identity. On the dancefloor, Caribbean-Tech talks to afro house, afrotech and techno: his track Turn Up is listed as peak-time techno on Beatport. His collaborations extend this direction, with Codjo Seignon on Kondayé and Gwladys Marthély on Manman Ho. To hear it, his tracks are on Bandcamp and SoundCloud, and his mixes on Mixcloud.
How do I book R'DAYE for an event?
The simplest way to book DJ R'DAYE is to fill in the booking form at the bottom of this page: your request goes straight to him, with no middleman. Give the date and city, the event type (club, festival, Afro or Caribbean night, private or brand event), the expected capacity, the slot and the set length you have in mind. A budget, even a rough one, gets you a faster answer. The more precise the request, the clearer the reply: R'DAYE can then confirm his availability, his terms and his technical needs in a single exchange. The form also works without JavaScript, and this site does not keep your message. For a date abroad, say so from the start: travel, accommodation and meals are covered by the promoter and written into the contract.
What are R'DAYE's terms (fee, travel and accommodation, set length)?
DJ R'DAYE works under contract: the fee is set according to the event, and travel, accommodation and meals are covered by the promoter. No rate is published on this page, because the amount depends on the date, the venue, the set length and the travel involved. As for length, R'DAYE plays sets of two hours minimum and three and a half hours maximum. That format leaves time to build the energy, bring the Caribbean rhythms into the set and hold the dancefloor right to the end. For a festival, give the slot and the stage; for a club, the start and end time of the night. The booking form at the bottom of the page lets you include everything in one go.
What equipment does R'DAYE need?
When it comes to gear, DJ R'DAYE brings his own mixer, an Omnitronic, and asks for three Pioneer CDJ-3000 players, a Pioneer RMX-500 effects unit, an RJ45 hub to link the players and a six-socket power strip on site. Everything sits on a sturdy DJ table of at least 1.50 m by 1 m. For sound, he needs two 15-inch monitors, placed left and right of the table, on top of the main PA. For lighting, his tech rider calls for sun strips at the back, an overhead spot above the table, crossed front lights high and low, and a smoke machine. An LED screen at the back of the stage completes the setup: R'DAYE supplies the video visuals and his logo on a USB stick. The details are in the tech rider on this page. If your venue does not have everything, say so in your request so that a solution can be found.
Where has DJ R'DAYE played?
DJ R'DAYE has played on four continents, from the electronic festivals of the Caribbean to Ministry of Sound in London, by way of Paris, Belgium, Dubai, Thailand and Benin. His career moves on two fronts. In the Caribbean, he has been booked at SXM Festival in Saint Martin, his biggest stage to date, at Guadeloupe Electronic Groove in Zévallos, at Tiki Island Festival in Martinique and at Karatronic Festival. In Guadeloupe, he also works with Kazazik, an organisation dedicated to music and culture. Internationally, he has played Ministry of Sound, the London club that is a reference for house and techno, Le Zone 5 in Benin, and private parties in Thailand. These very different stages, from open-air festivals to clubs, have taught him to adapt a Caribbean-Tech set to the venue, the slot and the crowd.
Where can I listen to and buy R'DAYE's music?
You can listen to and buy DJ R'DAYE's music on Bandcamp, where he releases his tracks, and on Beatport, the reference platform for DJs, which carries Turn Up among others. On Bandcamp you will find his releases since 2023: Fascination, Sacralisation, Afronég, Manman Ho with Gwladys Marthély, Transcender, Kondayé with Codjo Seignon, Future, Warriors Boyz Attack, Free Mind and Turn Up. Buying a track on Bandcamp remains the most direct way to support the artist. For listening, his recent tracks such as Oracle, Symbol and Go All The Way are on SoundCloud, and his mixes, from afro house to afrotech, are on Mixcloud. His YouTube channel brings together his music videos, including Kondayé and Turn Up, and filmed sets, such as the one from the Brisa Loca festival in Guadeloupe.
